Welcome to Sixth Form
Sedgehill Sixth form offers fantastic opportunities for our students to study and further their skills with excellent and innovative teaching in state of the art facilities , thereby enabling them to gain the qualifications and experiences for them to access university, further education and the careers of their choice. We offer Sixth Form places to our successful Year 11 students from Sedgehill School as well as some recommended external students.
We offer a wide range of academic and vocational courses at levels 2 and 3 alongside a tutorial programme and ethos that offers guidance for students in study skills, vocational and careers advice, financial management and higher education. We have a bespoke careers/pathways programme which includes individual and group information and guidance, support with personal statements, interview practice and visits to universities and workplaces .We also host our own annual careers carousel offering an opportunity for our students to gain first hand professional advice.
There are many leadership opportunities at Sedgehill Sixth form–We have a team of Sedgehill Student Ambassadors supporting whole school events and community work and many Student Leaders working alongside teachers in KS3 and KS4 classes, working as technicians, mentors, and leading by example in our school and wider community.
Our students are actively encouraged to participate in and contribute to all aspects of school life. All of our Sixth formers opt for a weekly enrichment activity which further enhances their all round education thereby equipping them for their future pathways. Many of our students choose to study our Performing Arts and Sports courses and take part in the vast range of extra curricular activities that are on offer.
We are very excited to be working in partnership with Fulham FC ensuring that all of our talented sportsmen and women will have the opportunity to participate in professional football coaching as part of their KS5 course and/or as an enrichment activity. They will also develop their own coaching skills working with younger Sedgehill students and our local primary schools.
We believe in empowering our students to develop and grow in a structured, nurturing, environment ensuring that they achieve their academic potential and flourish as responsible young adults; who are ready to take their next steps in education or the world of work and to make a positive contribution to our community.
