Wicked Project

The outstanding ‘Wicked Project’ performances at the Christmas concert got everyone talking.

In October forty five students from across Years 7, 8 and 9 were invited to work in groups in Drama, Music and Dance. Each week they meet up with a specialist member of Performing Arts staff to rehearse plays, songs and dances all based on the West-End musical, ‘Wicked’. Not only did this give them the opportunity to develop skills across the Performing Arts but it enabled students from different year groups to work together and make new friends.

The project culminated last week with a trip to see the West-End production at the Apollo Victoria which staff and students were dazzled by. Congratulations to all students involve and a big thank you to Hannah Powell who set up the project and Hannah Henson, Hollie Keville and Dion Howell who ran the rehearsals.
